You know the feeling. You need to count the words in an essay, or generate some placeholder text, or convert an image format. You Google it, click the first result, and get hit with a cookie banner, a signup popup, three ads, and a “download our app” modal — all before you can use a tool that should take five seconds.
The Problem
Most free online tools are built as ad vehicles first and tools second. The actual utility is buried under layers of monetization. Some require accounts for no reason. Others upload your data to their servers when the task could run entirely in your browser. A few even paywall basic features behind “premium” tiers.
We think that's backwards. A word counter doesn't need your email. A lorem ipsum generator doesn't need a cloud server. An image converter doesn't need a monthly subscription.
Our Approach
ZeroTools is built on three zeros:
- Zero cost— Every tool is free, forever. No premium tiers, no limits, no trials.
- Zero signup— No accounts, no emails, no passwords. Just open the page and use the tool.
- Zero hassle— Clean design, fast loading, no popups. The tool is front and center.
Most of our tools run entirely client-side, meaning your data never leaves your browser. There's nothing to hack, nothing to leak, nothing to worry about.
What's Coming
We launched with a Word Counter and a Lorem Ipsum Generator. But we're just getting started. Our roadmap includes QR code generators, color palette tools, image converters, PDF utilities, unit converters, JSON formatters, timers, and more.
Every tool will follow the same philosophy: open the page, do the thing, get on with your life. That's it. That's the whole pitch.

ZeroTools isn't a weekend project. We're building a place people can bookmark and come back to whenever they need a quick utility. No surprises, no bait-and-switches, no “we've updated our pricing” emails.
